[ARCHIVED] Man Arrested for Making Threats on Social Media

Newsflash - Patch

On 10/29/2022, the Grand Junction Police Department was alerted of threats made to Grand Junction High School students and began investigating the threats. GJPD officers contacted and arrested the responsible party. Jacob Casteel, 18, was arrested and transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:

  • Inciting Destruction of Life or Property
  • Felony Menacing
  • Attempted First Degree Assault

The safety of our community remains our top priority. The Grand Junction Police Department believes this to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to our community.
