[Grand Junction, CO] - The Grand Junction Police Department and Grand Junction Fire Department responded to a single motorcycle crash in the area of N 1st Street and Ouray Avenue on 5/17/24, at approximately 4:30 a.m. The adult male motorcyclist was transported to the hospital where he was declared deceased. Speed is suspected as a factor in the cause of this crash. The roadway was closed for several hours and has since been reopened. The Mesa County Coroner’s Office will be responsible for releasing the name of the decedent after appropriate notifications have been made.
