Officers with the Grand Junction Police Department and personnel from the Colorado Department of Transportation responded to a crash in the area of I-70, west of the 24 Rd exit on April 19, 2024, at approximately 9:00 a.m. The crash involved two pickup trucks and a flatbed trailer being pulled by one of the involved trucks. There were no reported injuries and no spillage of flammable liquids in this crash. All westbound lanes were closed for several hours as first responders cleared the scene. Those lanes of travel have since been reopened. The cause of the crash is under investigation and there is no further information available at this time.
