Officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to multiple reports of shots fired into the air in the 2800 block of Orchard Avenue on 01/21/24, at approximately 2:50 a.m. Law enforcement officers contacted three individuals a short time later, identified as the individuals involved in this incident. John Rupp (age 20) was arrested and released on a summons for Prohibited Use of a Weapon, Minor in Possession of Alcohol, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Dominick Roswell (age 20) was arrested and released on a summons for DUI, Minor in Possession of Alcohol, and Accessory to Prohibited Use of a Weapon. Michael Salazar (age 18) was arrested and remanded to the Mesa County Detention Facility and charged with Prohibited use of a Weapon, Tampering with Physical Evidence, Disorderly Conduct, Reckless Endangerment, and Minor in Possession of Alcohol.
