The volunteers of the Victim Services Unit are the extended compassionate arms of the Grand Junction Police Department (GJPD). Victim Services volunteers play a crucial role in the Grand Junction Police Department’s mission to provide support, comfort, and resources to victims of crime in the diverse communities the GJPD serves, including Spanish-speaking communities. Whether it’s assisting individuals affected by domestic violence, robbery, assault, or other traumatic experiences, the Victim Services volunteers, available every hour - 365 days per year, provide support that can make a significant difference in the lives of those in crisis. The Grand Junction Police Department is looking for individuals who are passionate about making a positive impact in their community and welcomes individuals from all backgrounds and experiences to join this dedicated team of volunteers.
