Grand Junction, Colorado -- The Grand Junction Police Department is excited to announce its annual Shop with a Cop event, bringing together local law enforcement officers and area students for a day of holiday shopping and positive interactions.
On Thursday, December 7, and Tuesday, December 12, law enforcement officers from the Colorado State Patrol, Fruita Police Department, Palisade Police Department, Mesa County Sheriff’s Office, and Mesa County School District 51 will join the Grand Junction Police Department for the thirty-first annual Shop with a Cop event! This event aims to foster positive relationships between law enforcement and the community, creating a memorable experience for both officers and the children involved.
Shop with a Cop is a needs-based program, pairing over 50 Mesa County fifth graders with law enforcement officers for a day of food, shopping, and fun! This program is fully funded by donations from organizations, businesses, and community members across Mesa County. Because of their support, these kids will enjoy a memorable holiday season!
