Officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a report of a robbery which occurred at a business on the 500 block of 29 ½ Road on 11/27/23, at approximately 7:40 p.m. The reporting party stated an armed male entered the store and demanded the money in the register. The suspect took the money and fled in a vehicle before officers arrived. Through investigation, officers were able to determine the vehicle involved in the robbery. Grand Junction Police Officers and a trooper with the Colorado State Patrol located the vehicle later in the night, in the 700 block of Horizon Drive. Officers made contact with the driver, identified as the suspect in the robbery and took him into custody. Eric Guice (age 52) was arrested and remanded to the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:
- Aggravated Robbery
- Menacing- Real/Simulated Weapon
- Theft
The Grand Junction Police Department believes this to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the community. This incident remains under investigation and there is no further information available at this time.
