The Grand Junction Fire Department responded to a fire in the area of the playground of Pear Park Elementary School, located at 432 30 ¼ Rd on 10/18/23, at approximately 2:10 a.m. The Grand Junction Fire Department extinguished the fire and contacted responsible parties for the facility. The Grand Junction Police Department was notified of the fire at approximately 8:55 a.m. the same morning and responded to the school, where officers observed a significant amount of damage from the fire. Initial investigation shows three subjects on the property shortly before the fire. There are no known injuries as a result of this fire.
