Upon arrival, firefighters promptly located a small fire contained within the garage. The flames were swiftly extinguished, preventing further damage to the property. The cause of the fire is believed to be improperly disposed of embers from a fireplace. Fortunately, there were no injuries associated with the incident.
This incident serves as a reminder to properly dispose of fireplace embers by allowing them to cool completely and placing them in a metal container with a tight-fitting lid, stored away from flammable materials.
