Pinyon Pine, Pinus Edulis

It is native throughout the southwest region and found growing in very dry conditions with Juniper. It is a valuable landscape tree where a small evergreen is needed for a dry site. Its shape is pyramidal with dense foliage and it can reach a height and spread up to 30 feet. In their native habitat individual trees can be up to 5,000 years old.
