Grand Junction, CO – At approximately 4:37 p.m., the Grand Junction Fire Department (GJFD) responded to reports of a fire in a conex storage container at a business located at 722 Scarlet Street. The fire was contained to the container and did not threaten any nearby structures.
Upon arrival, crews quickly extinguished the fire and cooled the container to prevent it from reigniting in the hot afternoon temperatures. No injuries were reported.
The Grand Junction Police Department assisted with scene safety and traffic control. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
