The Consolidated Annual Performance Evaluation Report (CAPER) is an end-of-program-year report required by HUD, and an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments achieved with Community Development Block Grant funding. Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) are made available by a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) program that provides federal dollars to our community.
As an entitlement community, the City of Grand Junction has received a federal allocation of CDBG funds directly from Congress since it became eligible in 1996. The City grants the funds directly to qualified local entities and non-profit organizations. The funds are to be used to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons.
The community is encouraged to provide public comment on the 2022 Program Year CAPER until November 17, 2023.
