Grand Junction, CO – On November 22, 2025, at approximately 9:20 a.m., 911 dispatchers received a report of a male lying in the river near Watson Island East who appeared to be in need of medical attention. Officers arrived on scene and located a deceased adult male lying face down in the water. An electric wheelchair was found nearby.
The Mesa County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased once appropriate notifications have been made.
