GJPD Makes Arrest Following Stolen Vehicle Recovery

Grand Junction, CO - On October 4, 2025, at approximately 12:35 p.m., officers were dispatched to a possible burglary that occurred at Mobility Driven, located at 832 North Crest Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered someone had forced entry into the building and stolen multiple items from the business. It was also determined that a vehicle had been stolen from the property.

On October 7, 2025, officers located and recovered the stolen vehicle near a local high school.

Through the course of the investigation, officers identified the suspect as 20-year-old Tyler Egry. On October 8, 2025, Egry was arrested without incident and booked into the Mesa County Detention Center on the following charges:

  • 2nd Degree Burglary of a Building
  • 2nd Degree Motor Vehicle Theft
  • Theft - $300-$1,000 from a Building
  • DUI
  • Tampering with Physical Evidence
  • 1st Degree Criminal Trespass of an Auto with Intent to Commit a Crime
  • 2nd Degree Criminal Trespass of Motor Vehicle
  • Criminal Mischief $2,000-$5,000
  • Criminal Mischief $5,000 or More, Less than $20,000
  • Theft – Less than $300 from a Building
  • Driving with Revoked License – Aggravated

The Grand Junction Police Department believes this to be an isolated incident with no ongoing danger to the community. This case remains under investigation, and there is no additional information available at this time.
