After initial investigation, Grand Junction Police Department does not suspect foul play at this time. The incident remains under investigation. The Mesa County Coroner’s Office will be responsible for releasing the identity and manner of death after appropriate notifications have been made.

On March 18, 2025, at approximately 10:25 a.m., first responders with the Grand Junction Police Department and the Grand Junction Fire Department responded to the area of the Riverfront Trail and Blue Heron Lake for reports of a deceased male. The male was declared deceased on scene shortly after first responders arrived. This incident is under investigation and there is no further information at this time.
