Detectives with Grand Junction Police Department presented their investigation into the shooting resulting in the deaths of Robert McCall and David Doolin, which occurred on May 15, 2024. Due to the complexities and intricacies of this case, the Grand Junction Police Department is working in collaboration with the 21st Judicial District Attorney’s Office to determine what additional steps need to be taken to assess whether any charges should be filed. Collaborating with the District Attorney’s Office on important matters like this is a standard protocol in this jurisdiction and helps assure all aspects of the case are meticulously reviewed and that any charges brought forth are supported by evidence.
