The City of Grand Junction to Host Seasonal Hiring Events

The City of Grand Junction, in partnership with Colorado Mesa University and the Mesa County Workforce Center, will host three hiring events to connect job seekers with seasonal and part-time opportunities. As one of the community’s major employers, the City is committed to making it easy for applicants to learn about openings, meet directly with hiring staff, and move through the process quickly. Candidates can apply, interview, and in some cases receive a conditional offer on the spot. Positions offer a chance to earn income, build experience, and help support the public spaces and programs residents use during the spring and summer season.

Save the dates:

- Tuesday, February 17, 2 – 6 p.m. at Lincoln Park Barn (910 N. 12th St.)
- Wednesday, March 11, 3 – 6 p.m. at Lincoln Park Barn (910 N. 12th St.)
- Tuesday, April 14, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Mesa County Workforce Center (512 29 ½ Rd.)

The jobs include:

Camp Counselors and Recreation Leaders
Event Support Staff and Guest Service Representatives
Golf and Facilities Maintenance
Horticulture Worker and Plant Health Care
Irrigation Maintenance
Lifeguards, Swim Instructors, and Pool Manager
Sports Officials
Turf Maintenance and Sports Field Crew
Urban Forestry Worker

The positions range in skill level as well as qualification and age requirements. Candidates will be assessed for related experience, equipment, and operation skills.
