Arrest Made in August Fatal Motorcycle Crash

Grand Junction, CO - On August 20, 2025, officers from the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a vehicle versus motorcycle crash in the area of 29 Road and Four Corners Drive.

Officers determined a truck traveling southbound on 29 Road was turning east onto Four Corners Drive when it collided with a motorcycle traveling northbound. The motorcyclist died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.

Following an extensive investigation, officers established probable cause to charge the driver of the truck, 74-year-old Michael Harris. On December 17, 2025, Harris was arrested and released on a summons for Careless Driving Causing Death and Careless Driving Causing Serious Bodily Injury to Vulnerable Road User.
