GJPD Annual Stuff the Bearcat: Toys for Tots Toy Drive

Police News Posted on December 01, 2025

The Grand Junction Police Department’s SWAT Team is gearing up once again to “Stuff the Bearcat”, spreading joy and giving back to children in need. On Sunday, December 7, 2025, SWAT Operators will be outside the Target entrance at Mesa Mall collecting new, unwrapped toys to support Toys for Tots and bring holiday cheer to kids throughout Mesa County.

This annual event reflects the GJPD’s ongoing commitment to serving our community in every way we can. By partnering with Toys for Tots, we’re helping ensure that local children who might otherwise go without can feel the excitement and magic of receiving a gift during the holiday season.

In addition to the event, a Toys for Tots donation box will be available in the GJPD lobby at 555 Ute Avenue through December 12 for those who wish to drop off donations ahead of time.

Event Details:
• Date: Sunday, December 7, 2025
• Time: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Location: Target entrance at Mesa Mall (2424 Highway 6 & 50)

Please remember: Toys for Tots accepts new, unwrapped toys and books for children birth to 15. They do not collect or distribute food or clothing. For age-appropriate gift ideas, visit Toys for Tots Mesa County.
