DUI Driver Arrested After Multiple Crashes at Walmart

Grand Junction, CO - On September 22, 2025, at approximately 10:40 a.m., officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a reported hit and run in the Walmart parking lot, located at 2881 North Avenue.

Through the course of the investigation, officers learned that an intoxicated driver struck multiple vehicles and store property before attempting to leave the parking lot. A citizen tried to block the suspect’s vehicle at the exit, but the suspect rammed the citizen’s vehicle several times. Other citizens intervened and attempted to detain the suspect until law enforcement arrived.

During the incident, the suspect’s vehicle caught fire as a result of the collisions. Citizens were able to extinguish the flame, and the Grand Junction Fire Department responded to ensure the vehicle was safe.

Officers took the suspect into custody, though she remained uncooperative. No injuries were reported.

The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Jasmine Fink, was transported to the Mesa County Detention Facility and booked on the following charges:

  • DUI – 3 or More Prior Convictions
  • Attempted Second Degree Assault
  • Attempted Vehicular Assault
  • Criminal Mischief
  • Obstruction
  • Resisting Arrest
  • Hit and Run
  • Aggravated Driving with Revoked License
  • Failed to Notify Police of Accident
