City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

2022 Waterline Replacement Project

  •  Hall Avenue between 15th Street and 18th Street 
  • 17th Street between Glenwood Avenue and Hall Avenue
  • 16th Street between Texas Avenue and Hall Avenue
  • Texas Avenue between 15th Street and 17th Street
  • 18th Street between Glenwood Avenue and Elm Avenue
  • 19th Street between Glenwood Avenue and Elm Avenue
  • Kennedy Avenue between 19th Street and 22nd Street
  • 20th Street between Glenwood Avenue and Kennedy Avenue
  • 21st Street between North Avenue and Kennedy Avenue            

Expect temporary road closure with well-marked detour route in place
Access for residents will be maintained
Anticipated Completion – Late April 2023

24 Road and G road Traffic Roundabout Project

  • Between 4/17 & 5/5 - G Rd. will be closed from 24 Rd. to 24 1/2 Rd., reopening for the weekends.
  • Be aware of the posted 15 mph speed limit around the 24 Rd. and G Rd. temporary roundabout.
  • Continue to see lane shifts on 24 Rd. from I-70 to Leland Ave.
  • Moderate traffic delays can be expected
  • Access to Canyon View Park, Golden Gate Petroleum & Community Hospital will be maintained.

Sewer Replacement Project (Orchard Mesa)

  1. Holly Ln. south of Unaweep Ave. will be closed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
  • Resident access will be provided.
  • Anticipated Completion – Mid April

Annual Fire Hydrant Flushing Program - Citywide

  • Please slow down in areas where crews are working.
  • Watch for minor street flooding.
  • Anticipated Completion - Friday, April 21

2022 Asphalt Overlay Project

  1. Redlands Pkwy. Between Hwy 340 Roundabout and the Colorado River Bridge
  • Roadway widening this week
  • Lane shifts and traffic delays should be expected
  • Street overlay will begin next week (night work)
  • Alternate route advised

Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

Fiber optic construction– Highline Internet Service Provider

Expect lane shifts and possible delays this week at the following location:

    1. East bound Patterson Rd. from 15th St. to 28 ¼ Rd. (night work, 7 pm – 6:30 am)
    2. West bound Patterson Rd. @ 29 Rd. (day work, 9:30 am to 3 pm)
    3. Patterson Rd. from 31 Rd. to Cottage Meadows (day work)

 805 Struthers Ave. (Road widening)– Private Development

 Struthers Ave. will be closed between 7th St. and 9th St. Mon. 4/17 Thru Wed. 4/19 (West end of Las Colonias Park)
