[ARCHIVED] Grand Junction Summer Camp Registration Opens

Summer Camp Registration Opens

The City of Grand Junction summer camp registration opens Monday, March 6, 2023. The new Parks and Recreation Summer Camp Guide offers details about the many opportunities for kids to be active throughout the summer months. Prior to registration, the required enrollment paperwork must be submitted online. Completing enrollment early helps to streamline the registration process on March 6. Last year’s camp spaces sold out so parents are encouraged to register as close to the opening date as possible.

A variety of summer programs are offered including Little Sunshines camp for ages five and six, STARS camp and SCORE camp for ages seven through 11, and Tween camp for ages 12-15. New this year is City Academy, where high school students gain hands-on experience and an understanding of what it takes to run a city government.  Many city services will be highlighted through on-site tours and opportunities to get a behind-the-scenes experience regarding the day-to-day activities of city departments including fire, police, utilities, and parks and recreation.

For questions regarding summer camps, call Grand Junction Parks and Recreation at 970-254-3866 or email summercamp@gjcity.org. Parks and Recreation also offers a wide variety of recreational programming for all ages and abilities.
