[ARCHIVED] GJFD Recognized by Colorado Bureau of Investigations

CBI hazmat

Colorado Bureau of Investigation Director (and former Grand Junction Police Chief) John Camper visited his old stomping grounds last week to recognize a couple of our employees for their exceptional partnership to CBI.

In July of this year, CBI was conducting a complex crime investigation in Montrose. Due to limited personnel and equipment, they requested assistance from the Grand Junction Police Department, and Grand Junction Fire Department. Deputy Chief Chris Angermuller immediately offered resources and responded with our Station 3 Hazardous Materials Response Team. Deputy Chief Angermuller, Captain Gareth Parks, Engineer Matt Martens, Firefighter/Paramedic Ronald Bond, Firefighter Kenyon Hendricks, and Firefighter Thomas Giuliano were all recognized for their contribution to the investigation.

We are so proud of our staff and the passion that they have for the work they do, and their willingness to lend their expertise to law enforcement partners across the state when help is needed. Our Hazmat Team exemplifies public service and the values of the Grand Junction Fire Department. We appreciate Director Camper and CBI for recognizing their contributions.
