GJPD Responds to Shots Fired

On 01/17/23, at approximately 12:10 PM, officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to the area of Northern Way and Patterson Rd to reports of multiple shots fired. Officers found several vehicles had been struck by gunfire. The GJPD is not aware of any injuries at this time. Officers apprehended the suspect and took him into custody. Those charges are pending. The only shots fired in this incident were by the suspect. A shelter-in-place was issued for the surrounding areas and has since been lifted. This is believed to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the community. This investigation remains ongoing and there is no further information at this time.
