Colorado Bureau of Investigation Director (and former Grand Junction Police Chief) John Camper visited his old stomping grounds recently to recognize employees with the Grand Junction Police and Fire Departments for their exceptional partnership to CBI.
In July of this year, CBI was conducting a complex crime investigation in Montrose. Due to limited personnel and equipment at the time, they requested assistance from the Grand Junction Police Department. Lab Supervisor Trent Rundquist immediately offered resources, including equipment and additional personnel to assist. He and Kelly Clingman, a Forensic Investigator with the GJPD, went above and beyond to provide assistance to the investigators on scene, including volunteering to complete scans of the crime scene, and even making phone calls to the GJFD Hazmat Team to assist in the investigation. You can read about the recognition of the GJFD employees here.
We are so proud of our staff, the passion that they have for the work they do, and their willingness to lend their expertise to law enforcement partners across the state when help is needed. Trent and Kelly exemplify public service and the values of the Grand Junction Police Department. We appreciate Director Camper and CBI for recognizing their contributions.
