GJPD Makes Arrest in Attempted Murder

Newsflash - Patch

Officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a report of an assault at 2824 North Avenue at approximately 3:20 pm on November 20, 2022. The reporting party stated that a man was walking across North Avenue and bleeding from the neck.

When Officers arrived on scene, they learned that the man had been stabbed and he was quickly transported to a local hospital. Minutes later, one adult male was arrested on scene. 

Joseph McMillan, age 32, was arrested without incident and remanded to the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:

  • Attempted Murder in the 1st Degree
  • Assault in the 1st Degree
