[ARCHIVED] City of Grand Junction Offers Easy Ways to Report Potholes

Report a concern news flash

With the heat of the summer and the recent rain, potholes have developed around the City of Grand Junction. As these are located by city crews or reported by drivers, they are being repaired. Residents can use the Report a Concern feature on the city website or by using the city’s mobile app to report potholes they encounter on city streets.

One of the core functions of the city is to maintain streets and roadways, and ensure a comfortable, safe ride for drivers. Potholes often appear on roads after heavy rains, freezing and freeze-thaw cycles, periods of excessive heat, and can also be the result of wear and tear and time.

The Report a Concern form to identify the location of potholes can be found on both the city’s mobile app and on the website. The form includes a place to select Pothole from the drop down of Types of Report. Users can then add any details, their name, phone number and email, and then indicate the location of the pothole on the map. A photo can also be included before clicking the Report It button. Crews will prioritize repairs by location and respond to begin work. Drivers are asked to slow down where crews are working to improve the ride on local roadways.
