Four people have been arrested in connection with an aggravated robbery and shooting, that took place on the morning of October 29th.
Shortly before 7:00 A.M. yesterday morning, a call came into the Grand Junction Regional Communication Center from a reporting party that stated they had been victim to a robbery that took place at Canyon View Park and the suspects had ultimately taken off with the victim’s wallet. The reporting party communicated to our dispatch center that they were actively following the suspects’ vehicle, which lead to one of the suspects firing a weapon at the victim’s vehicle. Though the pursuit stopped shortly after, and thankfully there were no injuries, it is always the strong recommendation of the Grand Junction Regional Communication Center that citizens do not pursue suspects of a crime and instead wait for law enforcement personnel to arrive.
Officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to the area and contacted the suspect car without incident. All four occupants of the car were placed into custody and transported to the Grand Junction Police Department to conduct interviews with our detectives.
Through the course of the investigation, detectives were able to determine that the following four individuals were involved in conspiring to rob their victims for cash.
