GJPD Responds to Report of Attempted Kidnapping

Newsflash - Patch

Officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a report of an attempted kidnapping at Eagle Rim Park in Orchard Mesa on Wednesday, September 7, at approximately 2:10pm. A 12-year-old female reported an adult male told her to come with him and grabbed her arm. The juvenile told him no and fled unharmed. The juvenile is safe and with her parents.

The GJPD is actively investigating this incident and are asking for anyone with information about this incident to please contact us at 970-242-6707, referencing case number 22-42391. Updates will be made available as more information is obtained.
