City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

24 Road and G Road Bridge Replacement Project

  • G Road is closed from west of Spanish Trail Drive to 24 Road
  • Access Canyon View Park from either 24 Road or 24 ½ Road only
  • A detour route will be in place
  • Anticipated completion: late June

Annual Fire hydrant Flushing Program

  • Please slow down in areas where crews are working
  • Be aware of minor street flooding at some of the locations
  • Anticipated completion: Friday, April 29

Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

21½ Road from H Road to I Road, Utility Work – Private Development

  • Utility construction Monday, April 25, and Tuesday, April 26
  • 21 ½ Road will be closed to through traffic between H Road and I Road
  • Resident and business access will be maintained
  • A detour route will be in place

21 Road north of K Road, Bridge Maintenance – Mesa County

  • 21 Road will be closed just north of K Road
  • Detour Route will be in place
  • Anticipated completion: Friday, April 29

North Avenue between 11th Street and 16th Street, Utility Construction – Xcel Energy

  • West bound North Avenue from 11th Street to 16th Street will have intermittent lane closures
  • Expect delays
  • Anticipated completion: mid-May

28 ½ Road and B ½ Road intersection, Utility Construction – Xcel Energy

  • The intersection of 28 ½ Road & B ½ Road will have alternating one-lane traffic in all four directions
  • Expect delays
  • Alternate route advised
  • Anticipated completion: Friday, April 29

34 Road Government Highline Canal Bridge Project – Mesa County

  • 34 Road is closed to through traffic between US Hwy 6 and G Road
  • Detour route will be in place
  • Anticipated completion: early May 2022

Grand Junction High School Project - Utility Construction

  • 7th Street will be reduced to one lane, each direction at Elm Avenue
  • Expect delays
  • Anticipated completion: late June
