City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

24 Road & G Road Bridge Replacement Project 

  • G Road is closed from west of Spanish Trail Drive to 24 Road
  • Access Canyon View Park from either 24 Road or 24 1/2 Road only
  • Detour route will be in place
  • Anticipated Completion - May 2022

Lincoln Park Stadium Improvement Project

  • Northbound 12th Street has been reduced to one lane south of North Avenue
  • Delays can be expected, alternate route advised
  • Anticipated Completion - March 2022

North Avenue Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project Between 1st Street and 30 Road

Monday and Tuesday (Day Work)

  • 2nd Street will be closed to thru traffic north of North Avenue
  • Westbound North Avenue will be reduced to one lane at 2nd Street
  • All business access will remain open

Monday and Tuesday (Night Work)

  • North Avenue (Westbound lanes only) will be closed between 1st Street and 4th Street
  • Detour route will be in place

Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions   

1st Street & Grand Avenue Improvement Project – CDOT

Planned Winter Shutdown

  • 1st and Grand Intersection is now open (all four directions)
  • Project will resume in Spring
  • Anticipated Completion

E Road Reconstruction between 31 Road and 32 Road – Mesa County

  • Expect full road closures with a well-marked detour route at various locations
  • Be aware of the 15-mph reduced speed limit, along with increased law enforcement 
  • Resident access will be maintained
  • Alternate Route advised
  • Work hours: Monday thru Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Anticipated Completion - January 2022

North Avenue Waterline Replacement Project - Ute Water

  • Utility Construction on North Avenue from 29 Road to I-70B 
  • Expect intermittent lane closures and delays
  • Anticipated Completion - Late April

34 Road Government Highline Canal Bridge Project - Mesa County

  • 34 Road is closed to through traffic between US Hwy 6 and G Road
  • Detour route will be in place
  • Anticipated Completion - Early May 2022

M Road from 16 1/2 Road to 17 Road, Shoulder Work - Mesa County

  • M Road will be closed between 16 1/2 Road and 17 Road
  • Detour route will be in place
  • Resident access will be provided
  • Anticipated Completion: Late December
