City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions
Waterline Replacement Project Phase 1:
1. Chipeta Avenue from 7th Street to 12th Street
2. White Avenue from 9th Street to 12th Street
- Construction will start Wednesday July 7
- Both streets will be closed to thru traffic
- Access for residents will be provided
- No on-street parking
- Anticipated Completion - Late July
Annual City Street Chip Seal Program
- Crews are Chip Sealing and Fog Sealing various City streets including those on Orchard Mesa and the Redlands
- Expect delays and possible detours in areas where crews are working
- Anticipated Completion - Late July (weather dependent)
Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions
1st Street & Grand Avenue Improvement Project - CDOT
- Expect intermittent lane closures, traffic pattern changes, and delays on 1st Street, I-70B, and Grand Avenue
- Expect possible side street closures with well-marked detour routes in place
- Be aware of the 15-mph reduced speed limit throughout construction zone
- Access to local businesses will be provided
- Access to businesses will remain open
- Alternate routes are advised
- Anticipated completion - May 2022
E Road Reconstruction between 31 Road and 32 Road – Mesa County
- Expect full road closures with a well-marked detour route at various locations
- Be aware of the 15-mph reduced speed limit, along with increased law enforcement
- Resident access will be maintained
- Alternate route advised
- Work hours: Monday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Anticipated Completion - January 2022
Orchard Avenue Gas Line Replacement Between 3rd Street and 7th Street - Xcel Energy
- Alternating one lane traffic between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday – Friday
- Delays can be expected
- Resident access will be provided
- Anticipated Completion - Mid July
