Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions
1st Street & Grand Avenue Improvement Project - CDOT
- Expect intermittent lane closures, traffic pattern changes, and delays on 1st Street, I-70B, and Grand Avenue
- Expect possible side street closures with well-marked detour routes in place
- Be aware of reduced speed limit throughout construction zone
- Access to local businesses will be provided
- Access to businesses will remain open
- Alternate routes are advised
- Anticipated completion - May 2022
E Road Reconstruction between 31 Road and 32 Road – Mesa County
- Expect full road closures with a well-marked detour route at various locations
- Be aware of the 15-mph reduced speed limit, along with increased law enforcement
- Resident access will be maintained
- Alternate route advised
- Work hours: Monday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
- Anticipated Completion - November 2021
12 Road North of Hwy 6 & 50, Utility Construction – Ute Water
- 12 Road is closed to thru traffic
- A detour route will be in place
- The road will open on evenings and weekends
- Anticipated Completion – Early July
12 Road and O Road Culvert Installation - Mesa County Road and Bridge
- O Road will be closed west of 12 Road
- Detour route will be in place
- Anticipated Completion - Thursday, June 10
19 Road Utility Construction - Private Development
- 19 Road between Hwy 6 & 50 and J Road is closed to through traffic
- Resident access will be provided
- Anticipated Completion - Late June
Orchard Avenue Gas Line Replacement Between 3rd Street and 7th Street - Xcel Energy
- Alternating one lane traffic between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday – Friday
- Delays can be expected
- Resident access will be provided
- Anticipated Completion - Early July
