[ARCHIVED] Projects Affecting Traffic for the Week of March 29, 2021

City of Grand Junction Public Works Projects

City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions         

Riverfront at Dos Rios Phase 2 Project (8/17/20 to 6/17/21) 

  • River Front Trail will be closed until early April, follow well-marked detour around construction activities.         

Lorey Drive Improvement Project

  • Lorey Drive will be closed to thru traffic west of 1st Street
  • Business and residential access will remain open
  • Anticipated Completion – Mid April

Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions  

 1st Street Between North Avenue and Grand Avenue, Gas Line Replacement Project – Xcel Energy

  • Starting Monday night March 22. 1st Street will be closed from North Avenue to Grand Avenue, between the hours of 9:00 PM and 5:30 AM
  • Detour route will be in place
  • 1st Street will remain open every day between 6 AM and 9 PM with no delays anticipated
  • Completion of night work will be Friday April 16
  • Asphalt patching and cleanup will start the following week

30 Road & Patterson Road – Irrigation Line Replacement 

  • Possible single lane traffic in all 4 directions, from the hours of 9:30 AM & 3:00 PM , Monday thru Friday.
  • Traffic signal lights will be off during the work hours with traffic control personnel assisting motorists.
  • Expect delays, alternate route advised
  • Anticipated Completion – Friday April 2

E Road Reconstruction between 31 Road and 32 Road – Mesa County

  • Expect full Road Closures with a well-marked detour route at various locations
  • Resident access will be maintained
  • Alternate Route advised
  • Work hours: Monday thru Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM
  • Anticipated Completion: September 2021

Hwy 340 (Broadway) Culvert Improvements – CDOT

  • Construction will take place between Canary Ln. and Dressell Dr.
  • Expect single lane closures
  • Work hours will be Monday through Saturday from 7 AM to 7 PM

G Road Power Pole Renovation Project Between 26 ½ Road and 27 Road – GRAND VALLEY POWER

  • Possible alternating one lane traffic through the work zone 
  • Expect delays
  • Work hours: Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm
  • Anticipated Completion – Late April

12 Road North of Hwy 6 & 50, Utility Construction – Ute Water

  • 12 Road is closed to thru traffic
  • Detour route will be in place
  • Road will open evenings and weekends
  • Anticipated Completion – Early July

Q Road between 12 Road and 13 Road, Utility Construction – Ute Water 

  • Q Road is closed to thru traffic
  • Detour route will be in place
  • Road will open evenings and weekends
  • Anticipated Completion – Early July
