[ARCHIVED] Projects Affecting Traffic for the Week of March 22, 2021

City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions         

Riverfront at Dos Rios Phase 2 Project (8/17/20 to 6/17/21) 

  • Access to the bike park from Riverside Parkway is expected to reopen this week
  • River Front Trail will be closed until early April, follow well-marked detour around construction activities.

Ridges Irrigation Replacement Project 

  • Pipeline construction is complete
  • Asphalt patching and concrete replacement will be completed by mid-April

Lorey Drive Improvement Project

  • Lorey Drive will be closed to thru traffic west of 1st Street
  • Business and residential access will remain open
  • Anticipated Completion – Mid April

G Road Irrigation Project 

  • G Road will be intermittently closed to thru traffic between 24 Road and 24 ½ Road
  • Resident access will be provided
  • Alternate route advised
  • Anticipated completion – Mid April        

Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

F Road between 34 Road and 35 Road, Culvert Replacement Project – Mesa County Construction Division

  • F Road will be closed to thru traffic, starting Tuesday March 2
  • Detour will be in place
  • F Road will reopen to thru traffic every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
  • Anticipated Completion – March 26

 1st Street Between North Avenue and Grand Avenue, Gas Line Replacement Project – Xcel Energy

  • Starting Monday night March 22. 1st Street will be closed from North Avenue to Grand Avenue, between the hours of 9:00 PM and 5:30 AM
  • Detour route will be in place
  • 1st Street will remain open every day between 6 AM and 9 PM with no delays anticipated
  • Completion of night work will be Friday April 16
  • Asphalt patching and cleanup will start the following week

E Road Reconstruction between 31 Road and 32 Road – Mesa County

  • Expect full Road Closures with a well-marked detour route at various locations
  • Resident access will be maintained
  • Alternate Route advised
  • Work hours: Monday thru Saturday, 7 AM to 7 PM
  • Anticipated Completion: September 202

Hwy 340 (Broadway) Culvert Improvements – CDOT

  • Construction will take place between Canary Ln. and Dressell Dr.
  • Expect single lane closures
  • Work hours will be Monday through Saturday from 7 AM to 7 PM  

G Road Power Pole Renovation Project Between 26 ½ Road and 27 Road – GRAND VALLEY POWER

  • Possible alternating one lane traffic through the work zone 
  • Expect delays
  • Work hours: Monday thru Friday, 8am to 5pm
  • Anticipated Completion – Late April
