City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions
Riverfront at Dos Rios Phase 2 Project (8/17/20 to 6/17/21)
- Be aware of construction activities around the bicycle playground, access to the bike park from Riverside Parkway will remain open during construction
- The existing asphalt surface of Riverside Drive, south of Hale Avenue, has been permanently removed. No vehicle access shall be allowed south of Hale
- Riverfront Trail will be closed for 6 weeks, beginning March 1st. Please follow well-marked detour around construction activities
Ridges Irrigation Replacement Project
- City crews are replacing the irrigation line along Valley View Way & West Valley Circle
- Resident access will be maintained
- Anticipated Completion – Early April
Palisade Street Culvert Replacement Project
- Monday, Feb. 22, Palisade Street will be closed to thru traffic between Unaweep Ave. and Hwy 50
- Access 1941 Palisade Street and Orchard Mesa Veterinary Hospital from Hwy 50
- All other access must be from Unaweep Ave.
- Anticipated Completion - Wednesday, March 3
Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel
F Road Between 34 Road, Culvert Replacement Project - Mesa County Construction Division
- F Road will be closed to thru traffic starting Tuesday, March 2
- Detour will be in place
- F Road will reopen to thru traffic every Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
- Anticipated Completion - March 26
1st Street Between North Avenue and Grand Avenue, Gas Line Replacement Project - Xcel Energy
- Construction is scheduled to start Monday, March 1
- Side street access may be limited
- Business access will remain open
- Flaggers will be on site to assist motorists
- Expect delays
- Anticipated Completion - Early April
E Road Reconstruction Between 31 Road and 32 Road - Mesa County
- Expect full road closures with a well-marked detour route at various locations
- Resident access will be maintained
- Alternate route advised
- Work hours: Monday thru Saturday, 7am to 7pm
- Anticipated Completion: September 2021
Hwy 340 (Broadway) Culvert Improvements - CDOT
- Construction will take place between Canary Ln. and Dressell Dr.
- Expect single lane closures
- Work hours will be Monday thru Saturday from 7 am to 7 pm
G Road Power Pole Renovation Project Between 26 ½ Road and 27 Road – Grand Valley Power
- Possible alternating one lane traffic through the work zone
- Expect delays
- Work hours: Monday thru Friday, 8 am to 5 pm
- Anticipated Completion Date – Late April
