Grand Junction Parks & Recreation’s 2021 Spring Activity Guide will be released on March 1st. Parks & Recreation is thrilled to share this guide with residents as it more fully represents the entire system and includes exciting new projects the department has been working on to improve service to the community. Residents can read about park amenities, facilities and different services offered throughout the year. It will also highlight current spring recreational programs.
The guide reflects the most up-to-date information on services and programs being offered including summer camps and softball. The department hopes to have other facilities and programs open to the public including the Orchard Mesa Pool sometime in April. Residents can register for recreational programs starting Monday, March 1. The City of Grand Junction works closely with Mesa County Public Health to deliver parks and recreation services safely to the community.
The Parks & Recreation Department distributed its seasonal activity guides online approximately every two months through the pandemic. The 2021 Spring Activity Guide will be the first guide where direct mailing to residents will resume since the pandemic started. Grand Junction residents can expect to receive a guide in the mail by March 1. The guide will also be available for viewing online at gjparksandrec.org.
