[ARCHIVED] Traffic Alert for 4th & Rood

Rood Avenue

Please use caution in the area of 4th & Rood. Crews are working to replace a signal conduit that was struck on Wednesday by a contractor. The signal at the intersection will remain operational, but all pedestrian crosswalk signals have been bagged to allow repairs to take place. Work will be ongoing into Wednesday and this release will be updated as more information becomes available.

UPDATE (2/10 3:00 P.M.) Crews have replaced the bore and are currently repairing the conduit. Crews will turn the signal off tomorrow morning at 8:30. The signal may be out for up to 30 minutes while they wire the corners back in.

Please use caution when traveling through the area. Remember, if traffic lights are out, they should be treated as a four way stop. If able, please plan to use alternative routes until the repair work is completed. If you must travel through the area, please be patient and be cautious as crews work to restore signal operations.
