City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

Crosby Ave. Utility Work 

• Crosby Ave. will be closed to through traffic from Main St. to W. Gunnison to relocate utilities.
• Construction is scheduled through May.

Horizon Dr. and G Rd. Roundabout 

• Construction ongoing at the intersection of Horizon Dr. and G Rd. through October.
• The following temporary detours and traffic shifts will go into effect April 23.
  • Horizon Dr. northbound left onto G Rd. northbound – closed (use temporary shoulder detour through to Horizon Dr. northbound then use either roundabout at I-70 Interchange to take Horizon Dr. southbound and use temporary shoulder detour to turn right onto G Rd. northbound)
  • 27 ½ Rd. northbound through onto G Rd. northbound – closed (use temporary shoulder detour to turn right onto Horizon Dr. northbound then use either roundabout at I-70 interchange to take Horizon Dr. southbound and use temporary shoulder detour to turn right onto G Rd. northbound)
  • 27 ½ Rd. northbound left onto Horizon Dr. southbound – closed (use temporary shoulder detour to turn right onto Horizon Dr. northbound then use either roundabout at I-70 interchange to take Horizon Dr. southbound and use temporary shoulder detour to pass though onto Horizon Dr. southbound)
  • All other traffic movements to remain open
• Expect delays. 

Non-City Projects with Travel Restrictions 

I-70 Business Loop Improvements (CDOT) 

• 2nd St. and 3rd St. between Ute & Pitkin will be closed with access open to businesses.
• Business access will be open but adjusted to support construction and customer needs.
• Ute and Pitkin Avenues will be one lane.
