The City of Grand Junction has partnered with Drought Response Information Project (DRIP) and Resource Central to provide a water conservation program, “Garden In A Box,” for water customers of City of Grand Junction, Clifton Water District, and Ute Water Conservancy District. This program enables customers to order discounted garden kits designed to create beautiful, water-efficient landscapes with low-water plants.
A limited number of discounted kits are available when ordering a garden kit. Customers can place online orders for spring pickup through Resource Central starting March 4, 2025. Details regarding pickup will be shared upon purchase. Users must select their water provider during the ordering process to receive the $25 discount. While properties outside the designated water service areas can purchase garden kits, they will not be eligible for the discount.
Each garden kit purchase includes starter plants, garden design maps, and a detailed care guide with watering and maintenance instructions.
More information about the Garden in a Box program can be found online Garden In A Box including an interest list to be notified when kits are available for purchase. Information about the City of Grand Junction Water conservation can be found online at City of GJ Water Conservation Programs
