Early morning of October 29, the City of Grand Junction discovered a sewer line blockage resulting from the maintenance work being conducted at the Ridges 1 Lift Station near Ridges Blvd. and HWY 340. The residents in the Ridges area are being asked to reduce water usage and minimize flushing due to the limited pumping capabilities for up to the next 48 hours.
City crews and contractors have identified the line, located near the Colorado River, and are working to clear the blockage. A temporary left lane closure near the intersection of HWY 340 (Broadway) and Safeway due to crews working, expect large equipment in the area.
