The City of Grand Junction is excited to host Theatre in the Park in collaboration with The Theatre Project set to take place on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. This free, family-friendly event hosted by the city’s Commission on Arts and Culture will be held in Lincoln Park at the marble courts, with The Theatre Project performing Seusspeare: Hamlet Hears a Who, the story of Hamlet in Dr. Seuss style, rhyme and all. Grand Junction’s Commission on Arts and Culture is dedicated to building and enhancing the value of art in the community by increasing cultural interactive events. This free performing arts event is an opportunity to introduce families to the arts through a fun performance in the park.
The Theatre Project of Grand Junction is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) community theatre company that provides theatre and musical theatre education programs and performance opportunities to all ages while encouraging a community spirit in the performing arts. They strive to cultivate creativity in a supportive and nurturing environment and allow all participants the opportunity to explore the performing arts. They endeavor to create an avenue to develop theatrical talents and attempt to instill in the participants, and the community, an appreciation and love for the arts and arts education.
