Today at 11:50 AM, Grand Junction Fire Department responded to a report of a fire on the 200 block of Pine Street. When crews arrived on the scene, they found a single-family home with smoke and flames coming from the roof with everyone safely evacuated. Crews are still working to completely extinguish the fire. The origin and cause of the fire are under investigation.
Grand Junction Police Department responded to assist with traffic control and scene safety. Xcel Energy responded to assist with securing utilities. A Grand Junction Police Department Victims Advocate and the American Red Cross responded to assist two adults and one child displaced by the fire.
