City Calls for Artists to Create Murals at Eagle Rim Skate Park

The City of Grand Junction has announced a call for artists interested in creating three outdoor murals at Eagle Rim Skate Park, located at 2746 Cheyenne Drive. Interested artists have six weeks to apply by submitting a proposal, along with the desired location of the mural to Jonathan Wheatley, Arts, and Culture supervisor at jonathanw@gjcity.org by Friday, September 15, 2023. View full call for artists and three mural locations.

The city’s Commission on Arts and Culture will select the artists to complete the work, which must be planned for installation between Sunday, September 24 through Monday, October 2, 2023.

Painting of Eagle Rim Skate Park takes place each year and is intended to brighten up the park, offer more public art space, and improve the overall user experience for visitors to the park.

Grand Junction Parks and Recreation offers a wide variety of recreational programming for all ages and abilities as described in the seasonal activity guide.
