The Grand Junction Police Department, dedicated to promoting safety and fostering stronger neighborhoods, is excited to announce the opening of registration for National Night Out. This annual event, designed to bring communities together and strengthen police-community partnerships, will take place on the evening of Tuesday, August 1, 2023.
National Night Out is an opportunity for residents to engage with local law enforcement agencies, learn about crime prevention strategies, and actively participate in building safer neighborhoods across the country. By registering and hosting an event, community members can gather and speak directly to local law enforcement personnel about issues they have questions or concerns about.
The Grand Junction Police Department encourages all community members to register for National Night Out and actively participate in this important event. Registration is free! Interested individuals and organizations can register for National Night Out by visiting the Grand Junction Police Department website. Registration closes on July 27, 2023.

The GJPD National Night Out allows community members to customize events which encourage participation from their neighbors. In the past, neighborhoods have hosted barbeques, water games for kids, block parties, ice cream socials, or pizza parties. Once the individual or organization registers their National Night Out event, the Grand Junction Police Department will be sure to have personnel there to engage with citizens and help build stronger, safer, and more resilient communities. The Grand Junction Police Department looks forward to meeting you!
