Notify Me section on homepage

On Thursday, November 19th, the City of Grand Junction launched its newly designed website, A new feature users will notice is a “Notify Me” section, located on the home page.

The Notify Me notification center allows users to subscribe to receive email or text message notifications for emergencies, general news, agenda postings, City project updates, and more. Signing up is easy, as users are only required to enter either an email address or mobile phone number. Once users opt-in, they can choose from an à la carte list of alerts and notifications they wish to subscribe to.

It is important to note that all subscribers from the City’s former news blog ( have been migrated to our new notification system. Subscribers may receive two notifications today only (one from WordPress and one from the new website). After today, all subscribers will continue to receive email notifications pertaining to City of Grand Junction news via the new website.
