24 Road and G Road – Traffic Roundabout Project
- Eastbound lanes of G Rd. will be closed between 24 Rd. & 24 ½ Rd thru 7/14
- Be aware of the posted 15 mph speed limit around 24 Rd. and G Rd. temporary roundabout
- Continue to see lane shifts on 24 Rd. from I-70 to Leland Ave.
- Moderate traffic delays can be expected
- Access to Canyon View Park, Golden Gate Petroleum & Community Hospital will always be maintained
Sewer Replacement Project (Orchard Mesa)
- Unaweep Ave. is closed @ Pinon St.
- A well-marked detour route is in place
- Resident access will always be provided
- Anticipated Completion – Late August
Waterline Replacement Project
- 18th St. and 19th St. between Elm Ave. and Orchard Ave. is closed to thru traffic
- Resident access will be maintained
- Anticipated completion – October 2023
Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions
CDOT Resurface Work at I-70 and CO Hwy 141
The Colorado Department of Transportation and contracting partner Elam Construction of Grand Junction have begun resurfacing work at three locations in the Grand Junction area. Work will take place on the Interstate 70 Business Loop in Grand Junction and on Colorado Highway 141 Business Loop in Clifton. Motorists should plan for nighttime work.
The resurfacing project will take place on I-70B at the I-70 off-ramp (Mile Point 0.18) to 24 Rd. (MP 2.52), I-70B from Main St. (MP 6.75) to 29 Rd. (MP 8.46), I-70B Frontage Roads from Main St. to 29 Rd., and on CO 141B at the I-70B/CO 141B intersection (MP 162.26) to the Colorado River (MP 159.9). Work will include milling operations, 1.5 to 2-inch asphalt paving, minor bridge work and guardrail improvements.
Fiber Optic Construction– Highline Internet Service Provider
- Lane shift for westbound traffic only, F ½ Rd. from 31 Rd. to 30 ½ Rd.
- Expect delays
S. Broadway between 23 Rd. & Easter Hill Dr.– Private Development
- Utility work along with new curb, gutter & sidewalk construction will take place throughout the Summer
- Expect intermittent road closures with well-marked detours
- Resident access will be provided
I-70 B Milling and Asphalt Overlay Project – CDOT
- Milling and paving all lanes of I-70 B From 14th St. to 29 Rd.
- Work hours will be 6:30 pm to 6:30 am, Sundays thru Thursdays
- Expect lane closures and delays
- Anticipated completion – Early July
10 Rd. between Q and Q ¾ Rd. Utility Work – Ute Water
- 10 Rd. will be closed Monday, June 26
- Local access will be maintained
- A detour route will be in place
Landfill Access Road Improvement Project
- Work hours: Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Traffic may be reduced to alternating one-lane traffic
- Expect up to 10-minute delays
- The landfill will be open regular hours during the project
- Anticipated completion – Late July
