City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

Waterline Replacement Project- Asphalt Repaving

  • 17th St. between Elm Ave. and Hall Ave.
  • 18th St. between Glenwood Ave. and Elm Ave.
  • 19th St. between Glenwood Ave. and Elm Ave.
  • Kennedy Ave. between 19th St. and 22nd St.
  • 20th St. between Glenwood Ave. and Kennedy Ave.
  • 21st St. between North Ave. and Kennedy Ave.      

Expect temporary road closure with well-marked detour route in place
Access for residents will be maintained
Anticipated Completion – Early May

24 Rd. and G Rd. Traffic Roundabout Project

  • Between 5/1 & 5/26 - G Rd. will be closed. from 24 Rd. to 24 ½ Rd., reopening for the weekends
  • Be aware of the posted 15 mph speed limit around the 24 Rd. and G Rd. temporary roundabout 
  • Continue to see lane shifts on 24 Rd. from I-70 to Leland Ave.
  • Moderate traffic delays can be expected
  • Access to Canyon View Park, Golden Gate Petroleum & Community Hospital will be maintained

Sewer Replacement Project - Orchard Mesa

  1. Holly Ln. south of Unaweep Ave. will be closed between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. through mid-May
  2. Pine St. south of Unaweep Ave. will be closed between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. through June
  • Resident access into these two neighborhoods will be provided

2022 Asphalt Overlay Project

  1. Redlands Pkwy. Between Hwy 340 Roundabout and the Colorado River Bridge
  • Parkway will be closed during the nighttime hours of 6 p.m. & 2 a.m., Mon. 5/1, Tue. 5/2, and Wed. 5/3
  • Construction activities will end at midnight each night with the remaining 2 hours spent reopening the road
  • Use alternate route

Odor Control Improvement Project

1. South bound 5th St. in the vicinity of Riverside Pkwy. Interchange 

  • Single lane closure, Monday, May 1 only
  • Expect delays

2. River Rd. near Persigo Wastewater Treatment Plant

  • Watch for shoulder work
  • Minimal delays

 

Non-City of Grand Junction Projects with Travel Restrictions

Fiber Optic Construction– Highline Internet Service Provider

Expect lane shifts and possible delays this week at the following locations:

  1. West bound Patterson Rd. from 31 Rd. to Lodgepole St. (+/- 30 ¾ Rd.)
  2. North bound 29 ½ Rd. from Patterson Rd. to F ½ Rd.

16 Rd. from M Rd. to O Rd., Utility Construction – Ute Water

  • 16 Rd. is closed from M Rd. to O Rd.
  • Detour route is in place
  • Resident access will be maintained
  • Anticipated completion – Early May

30 Rd. and E Rd., Utility Construction – Clifton Water

  • Starting Tuesday, April 25, construction will begin in the intersection of 30 Rd. and E Rd.
  • Expect delays and possible detours
  • Alternate route advised
  • Anticipated Completion – Mid May
