On 04/22/23, at approximately 1:40am, officers with the Grand Junction Police Department responded to a report of a shot fired in a residence on the 400 block of San Juan St. An adult female stated she was at her house with her boyfriend, who was intoxicated and shot his firearm through a wall. The male left the house before officers arrived on scene. The female was at the house, uninjured. An investigation was conducted, and it was determined that a firearm had been discharged in the house. Officers made contact with the male later in the day and took him into custody without incident.
Mason Myers, age 33, was booked into the Mesa County Detention Facility on the following charges:
- Felony Menacing
- Reckless Endangerment
- Domestic Violence
- Possession of a Weapon by a Previous Offender
- Prohibited Use of a Weapon
The Grand Junction Police Department believes this to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the community. There is no further information available at this time.
