The City of Grand Junction will host a Turf Conversion class on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, from 5:30 – 7 p.m. in the Lincoln Park Hospitality Suite (1307 North Ave.) This class is designed to help water customers improve resource stewardship. Information will also be available about the city’s Turf Conversion and other rebate programs. Community members are encouraged to register for the class by Monday, March 3, 2025.
To qualify for the City’s Turf Conversion rebate program, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- City of Grand Junction Water customer Check residential address
- Have living high water turf areas between 300-2000 sq. feet (residential) or 500 plus sq. feet (commercial or non-residential)
In conjunction with the Turf Conversion rebate of $1 per square foot for turf replacement, the city has other rebate programs available. The Water Efficiency Rebate Program includes rebates for water-saving appliances such as toilets, washing machines, smart irrigation controllers, soil moisture sensors, rain sensors, high-efficiency rotor nozzles, and tree drip irrigation kits. Rebates may be combined with other water conservation programs. More information about the program and rebate qualifications can be found on the Water Conservation Programs website.
